Welcome to the Bishop Bell Church of England Mathematics and Computing School website.
Bishop Bell is the only Church of England Comprehensive School in East Sussex and, as such, offers a distinctive educational ethos based on a Christian foundation. It was, also, one of the first dozen Mathematics and Computing Specialist schools in the Country and is, especially, at the vanguard of educational developments in those curriculum areas.
Academic standards at Bishop Bell School have risen and continue to rise at an astonishing rate. In recognition of that success, in 2003 we were chosen by the Government to receive the School Achievement Award and in 2004 the Specialist Schools Trust invited us to join their ‘Most Improved Club.’
The School is one of the most popular in the County and widely recognised for the high standards of its pupils’ uniform and behaviour. In addition, facilities are exceptional with around £6 million of new building facilities being built in the last few years.
